Gertrude Rebecca "Trudy" McCutchan Bauer
Helena, OK. -- Gertrude Rebecca "Trudy" Bauer, 70, a former resident of Helena, died Sunday at a hospital in New Orleans, LA.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Christian Church at Helena with the Rev. Litton Logan officiating. Burial will be in the Good Hope Cemetery under direction of Kenny Lanman Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bauer was born Feb. 16, 1916, in Helena, OK. to William and Jessie McCutchan. She attended schools there, graduating from Helena High School. On Nov. 23, 1936, she and Alex Bauer were married in Enid, OK. They made their home in Helena for a number of years before moving to various areas in the United States while he was in construction work.
In 1951, the couple moved to Wichita, KS., and were employed with the Boeing Company. They moved to New Orleans, LA. in 1963.
Mrs. Bauer was a member of the First Christian Church in Helena.
Survivors include her husband, Alex,; a brother, George McCutchan, Pond Creek, OK.; and a niece.
