Goltry – Frances Anna Adamson, 88, died early Monday morning in an Enid hospital. Her funeral will be at 2 PM Thursday in the Congregational United Church of Christ at Goltry.
Jim Bayless, assisted by Roger Miller of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, as the officiating ministers. Burial will be in the Good hope Cemetery at Helena.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Kenny Lanman Funeral Home of Helena.
Mrs. Adamson was born December 20, 1896, in Blair, Nebraska and while she was still an infant the family came to Oklahoma. She attended the Golden Valley rural school.
Mrs. Adamson had lived her entire lifetime in this area. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Lioness Club of Goltry.
She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and a sister. Mrs. Adamson is survived by a step son, Bobby Adamson of Enid; four grandchildren; 12 great – grandchildren and five great – great – grandchildren.
The casket will be open at the funeral home until 11:30 AM Thursday and at the church following the service.
A Frances Adamson scholarship fund has been established in her memory for a Helena – Goltry High School senior to further their college education. The funeral home will be custodian of contributions.
