Freda Jo Adkisson was born in Garfield County at Enid General Hospital on May 10, 1954, the daughter of Lewis “Bus” and Norma Ruth (Cronin) Adkisson. She enjoyed helping her dad on the family farm in Ringwood and riding horses. She participated in 4H showing sheep, cattle, and pigs. She grew up in Ringwood with her parents and spent her adulthood living with her peers in the community. Freda enjoyed Special Olympics in Enid and Stillwater. She enjoyed watching John Wayne movies, word searches, collecting post cards from her Aunt Eileen, music and social gatherings with her family and friends. She was spunky like Betty Boop.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Sharon; her grandparents, Jess and Ruby Clark Cronin and Andrew and Lucy Frickle Adkisson, and friend, Cynthia.

Freda was very proud of her family and loved spending time with them. She is survived by many beloved family members: sister, Connie Lou Adkisson Buffalohead (late husband Kenneth Pat); niece, Jennifer Fishback and husband, Rob; nephews, Shadlow Buffalohead; Kendal Buffalohead and wife, Gracie; great nieces, Miranda Fishback, Skylar Fishback, Maria Buffalohead, Rayne Fishback, Jocelyn Fishback, Adaline Buffalohead, Emmalyn Buffalohead; great nephews, Kolton Fishback, Shadlow Buffalohead II (girlfriend Alexis Soliz), Jeramiah Buffalohead, Micah Buffalohead, Caleb Buffalohead, Chief Buffalohead, Kaydn Fishback, Eastin Buffalohead; aunts, Dottie Clough (late husband Harry), Carole Shepard, Ruby Eileen Capps (husband Dennis); loving companions: Heidi, Emily, Christie, Alysha, Nicole, Katherine, Jessica, Stacey, Mella, Bobbie, Christina, Sherrie, Jennifer and beloved boyfriend, Terry; numerous other friends and relatives.

Freda loved fiercely. She was compassionate and caring about all her friends and relatives. She will forever be treasured and greatly missed.

Funeral Service for Freda will be Friday, July 8, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Ringwood First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Good Hope Cemetery with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home Inc. of Helena. www.lanmanmemorials.com Facebook: Lanman Funeral Home Inc.

Viewing will be Thursday from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with family present from 5:00 p.m.to 7:00 p.m.
