Graveside services for Gereda F. Weymouth will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at Garrison Cemetery with David Weymouth officiating. Wharton Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at http://www.whartonfuneralchapel.com.
On November 25, 2018, the angels came to take our loving mother home to her heavenly rest. Gereda Faye was born November 30, 1931, to S.C. and Evie Stepaniak.
The third of four children, Faye lived in multiple places until the family put down roots in the Kansas City area.
It was while living in the Kansas City area that Faye met the love of her life, Thomas Weymouth. They were united in marriage at Richards-Gebaur Air Force Base on April 2, 1956.
Tom's Air Force career took them to many places worldwide and four children completed the family.
Tom retired from the service in 1969 and the family settled once again near Kansas City. In 1978 Tom and Faye answered God's call, moving to Dacoma, Oklahoma, to pastor a small church, serving until Tom's death in 2004.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents, husband Tom, sons Terry and David, and two brothers and their wives.
She leaves behind her son Gary and his wife Edna; daughter Diana, daughter-in-law Trish and daughter-of-the-heart Linda; grandchildren; great grandchildren; a brother, Roy and his wife Glynda; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
