Inez L. Galbreath was born Oct. 18, 1919, in Dacoma, the daughter of James Elda Morrison and Florence Bunker Morrison.

She was an eighth-grade graduate in 1933, of a country school near Dacoma. She and Harold Edward Galbreath were married Feb. 19, 1944, at the courthouse in Alva. Inez had lived her lifetime at Dacoma until moving to Wichita, Kan., in January 2009, because of health issues. Inez was an accomplished seamstress, which included wedding dress, tuxedos, men's suits, band and cheerleading uniforms and many doll clothes. She learned to crochet from her mother at an early age, unraveling flour sacks for thread to practice her skills. Inez always took great pride in her work. She was a member of a Home Demonstration Club and helped make many quilts for children. Gardening was another area where she excelled. She worked at Whittet's Grocery and baked pies for the Cowboy Grill. She and Harold loved to travel and visited many places of interest. She was a member of Christ Bible Church, hosting church dinners and teaching Sunday School.

Those who have preceded her in death are her parents; her husband, Harold; a son, Robert Dean; five brothers and two sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory are one daughter, Judy Galbreath of Dacoma; two grandchildren, Shelley and Joel Glenn of Valley Center, Kan. and Rick Galbreath of Dacoma; four great-grandchildren, Brandon and Lindsay Glenn, Joshua and Diana Glenn, Chelsey and Dakota Barnhart and Ericka and Tim Boblett; seven great-great-grandchildren, Christian and Addison Glenn, Emily and Claire Glenn, Logan, Kinsley and Ellie Boblett; three sisters, Lois Golbek of Clyde, Kan., Hazel Grubbs of Bullard, Texas, and Mary Ellen Hall of Bastrop, Texas.

The memorial service for Inez is 10 a.m. Thursday, May 18, 2017, at Lanman Chapel in Helena. Inez chose to be cremated and she will be laid to rest beside her husband, Harold, at Garrison Cemetery with a private family ceremony.

Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena. Condolences may be made at www.LanmanMemorials.com.
