Dacoma – Harold E. Galbreath, 73, died Wednesday in an Alva hospital. His funeral will be at 11 AM Saturday in Christ's Bible Church, Dacoma, with the Rev. Thomas Weymouth officiating. Burial will be in the Garrison Cemetery, north of Dacoma, under the direction of the Wentworth Mortuary of Carmen.
Galbreath was born at Hutchinson, Kansas, April 8, 1914, to Charles and Ruby Coswell Galbreath. He spent most of his childhood in Colorado and moved to Dacoma in 1939, where he had since lived.
He and Inez Morrison were married at Alva February 19, 1944. Galbreath worked for the railroad for more than 30 years before retiring. He was a member of the Greater Bluegrass Music Society and of Christ's Bible Church.
In addition to his wife, Galbreath is survived by a daughter, Judy Ann of the home; a son, Robert "Bob" of Aline; four half sisters, Edie Smith of Alaska, Mabel Smith of Monte Vista, Colorado, Maude Poulan of Topanga, California, and Nellie Knittle of Stephensville, Montana; a half brother, Jimmy Galbreath of Denver; two grandchildren and two great – grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four sisters, three brothers and two half sisters.
Memorials may be made to Christ's Bible Church with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
