Pamela Marie Bertrand

Garrison Cemetery

Pamela Marie Bertrand was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on May 6, 1947, and passed away peacefully at home on July 29, 2022, surrounded by loved ones.

Pam is survived by her daughters: Sharla Humble, and her partner Glen Collier, of Bethany, Oklahoma, and grandchildren Eddy Ray Barnhill, Lyndee Collier, Kimberly Barnhill, Cadence Barnhill (Munchie), Adelynn Barnhill, Caiden Black, and Maverick Keene; Sherri Barrett and her husband Eric Barrett of Tucson, Arizona; and Staci Smith and grandson Carter Mann of Tucson, Arizona. She is also survived by her sisters Joanne Switzer of Dodge City, Kansas; Earlene Webb of OKC; and Wanda Streck of Marshall, Oklahoma; and a long, loving list of nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.

Pam joins her husband and partner in life, Merlin Bertrand, who departed from us just a few months ago. We are certain she is with Merlin and her yappy pets, who are now driving Merlin just a little batty once again while sneaking puppy love snuggles on the sly.

Pam raised her daughters in Waukomis, moving to Arizona for several decades before returning to Oklahoma, residing in Hennessey for the past 20 years. A quiet and kind soul, she liked to whammy the unsuspecting with a zinger or 2, keeping them off balance in the most hilarious of ways. Her favorite pastime was shopping, shopping, and more shopping, and still a bit more shopping. Her shoe collection is evidence of that. She had a lifelong love of the water, both being on the water- skiing, boating, and being surrounded by family - as well as splashing around with others and just sitting beside the calming cool breeze. She also loved to try new things and go to new places, bringing along her boisterous sisters for the ride much of the time. She was the most gentle of souls and thought only the best of all whom she met.

Our sweet, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend will be laid to rest at Garrison Cemetery at N2520 Road, Dakoma, Oklahoma at 10:00 am on August 13 with a graveside service, followed by a celebration of her life at the Hennessey Senior Center, 620 East 2nd Street, Hennessey, at 3:00 pm that afternoon.

Flowers may be sent to Sanders Funeral Services in Kingfisher. We welcome you to join us.
