Ronald R. Hoskins, age 85, of Enid, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2020 in Enid. The family will celebrate Ronald's life in a private ceremony at 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at the Eagle Chief Cemetery near Aline, Ok. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Ronald was born March 7, 1935 in Alva, Oklahoma to Earl E. and Ilo B. Hoskins. He graduated from Enid High School in 1953. He worked downtown at Brown Shoe Co. while attending classes at Phillips University. He started his military career in 1957 when he joined the United States Army.
His career was working in Finance beginning in 1964 with Interstate Securities Corporation in Albuquerque, NM, working his way up to Branch Manager and assigned to head their newest office in Woodward, OK, where he lived until 1984. In 1984 he began working at Central National Bank in Enid, OK where he served as a Vice President working with Consumer Loans Department. In 1988 he then accepted a position as a Senior Vice President and head of Guaranty Bank until retirement.
Ronald was an avid golfer and a fixture at Meadow Lake Golf Course. He was also an accomplished bowler throughout the sixties; and he enjoyed hunting.
He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; Billy, Earl and Sherrel Hoskins; and daughter-in-law Maura Hoskins. He is survived by his son, John H. Hoskins, of Tampa, FL; step-daughter, Vicki Collins, of Edmond, OK; three grandchildren, David Collins; Megan Phillips and Courtney Fishburn; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
