Cherokee Municipal Cemetery
LYLE EUGENE WALZ
A graveside service for Lyle Eugene Walz, 75, of Cherokee, OK. will be 10 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2005, at Cherokee Municipal Cemetery, Cherokee. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc., Cherokee, OK.
He was born April 16, 1930, near Ingersoll, OK. to John and Fannie June Gerrels Walz and died Thursday, June 16, 2005, at Enid Senior Care.
He attended Ingersoll Grade School and Cherokee High School. He farmed near Cherokee and was involved in oil and gas production.
He married Cordia Pearl Trenary in 1950 in Cherokee.
He was a member of Cherokee First Christian Church.
Surviving are one son, Steven Walz of Kiowa, KS.; one sister, Della Dunnigan of Alva, OK.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by one brother.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Faith Hospice of Enid.
