July 31, 1958 - June 30, 2020

Visitation will be July 5, 2020, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Wharton Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be held July 6, 2020, at 9:30 a.m. at the Cherokee Cemetery Gazebo in Cherokee. Online condolences may be made at http://www.whartonfuneralchapel.com.

Dee Ann was born on July 31, 1958, to Fred and Waneva (Butler) Parsons in Alva, Oklahoma. She passed away June 30, 2020, at Beadles Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.

She attended Alva High School, graduating with the Class of 1976. She held many jobs through her life including: CNA, medical scribe, cook and dietary manager. She put her passion into her work and loved what she did.

Dee married Henry Tidwell August 6, 1976. To this union, they welcomed four children: Justin, Sarah, Scott and Christopher.

She was a loving mother and grandmother. She always put her children and grandchildren first and made sure everyone knew how proud of them she was. She had a caring heart, great sense of humor and was an amazing cook.

Dee is survived by her husband, Henry, of Cherokee; daughter, Sarah (JJ) Green of Nash; and two sons, Scott (Christy) Tidwell and Christopher (Jessica) Tidwell of Cherokee.

She is also survived by 11 grandkids: Nick and Josie Tidwell of Lahoma; Kiersten Tidwell of Alva; Natalee, Hesston, Paizley and Hagen Green of Nash; Marliegh Tidwell of Cherokee; and Arron, Alec and Allison Tidwell of Cherokee; as well as three sisters and their husbands: Carolyn and Ben Green of Enid, Rita and Earl Smith of Cherokee and Gail and Wendle Cox of Alva; two brothers and their wives: Carl Parsons and wife Karol of Alva and Earl Parsons and wife Rebecca of Piedmont; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Dee is preceded in death by her parents and her son Justin.
