Cherokee Municipal Cemetery


ENID — Funeral service for Nikki N. Meyer, 69, of Enid, will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, with Rev. Wade Burleson officiating. Interment will follow in Cherokee Cemetery at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The family will receive friends at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home today from 6 to 7 p.m.

Nikki was born Sept. 27, 1943, in Alva, Okla., the daughter of Lester and Helen Walker White of Cherokee, Okla., and passed away Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012.

She was a graduate of Southeast High School in Wichita, Kan.

She was united in marriage to Bill Meyer on Aug. 19, 1961, in Wichita, Kan.

Nikki was a Pastor’s wife and loving mother for over 50 years. Her professional career was devoted to the medical field in Medical Staff Services in Enid, Tulsa and Oklahoma City. She was member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, where she started the deaf ministry, taught Sunday school and made four medical mission trips to India. Her passion was helping children, especially children with special needs. She served on the 4RKids and Touch India Board of Directors.

Nikki loved music, art, crafts, painting, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

She and her husband enjoyed traveling together, seeing many parts of the world.

Survivors include her husband, Bill; her children, Will Meyer and wife Terri of Ames, Okla., Jill Flanary and husband Ross of Fort Smith, Ark., Meredith Wagar and husband Will of Enid, Okla., and Matt Meyer and wife Lara of Nash, Okla.; grandchildren, Nathan Meyer and wife Daili, Wyatt Meyer, Logan Meyer, Jack Flanary, Michelle Wagar, Meredi Wagar, Samuel Wagar, Montell Meyer and Morgan Meyer; her stepmother, Patti White of Tulsa, Okla.; brother, Steve White of Grove, Okla.; sister, Tanis Olson of Rosehill, Kan.; aunt, Twyla Provost; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made to 4RKids with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home acting as custodian of the funds.
