CHEROKEEFuneral Service for LaDana Kay Metcalf will be Tuesday, June 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Lanman Funeral Home Chapel in Cherokee. Burial will follow at Cherokee Municipal Cemetery. LaDana was born April 1, 1965 in Cherokee, the daughter of L. D. and Wanda Metcalf and she passed away July 22, 2017 in Great Bend, Kansas. LaDana was raised and lived in Cherokee in her youth and in Great Bend, Kansas as an adult. She was was preceded in death by her father, Logan David (L.D.) Metcalf on November 11, 1999; her mother, Wanda Marie Evans Metcalf on June 16, 2016; an infant sister, Brenda Kalee Metcalf on August 6, 1960; her grandparents, Tommy and Doris Evans and Marie Pembrook. She enjoyed talking on the phone to her friends, riding her bike when she was younger and her pets.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Rashelle Marie Metcalf, niece, Kelsie Marie Harmon and her nephew, Seth Harmon; cousins, Jayne Cloud, Joy Reed, Tom Evans, Austin Evans and Jennifer Kiker.

She was especially loved and cared for by Decky Makings and all the staff at Sunflower Diversified Services in Great Bend where LaDana was a resident.
