Lucinda Minerva Harvey, daughter of Thomas Jefferson and Elizabeth Jane Anderson, was born at Kickapoo, Brown county, Kansas on September 16, 1867. She departed this life in Cherokee, Oklahoma, June 5, 1946. Her age at the time of death was 78 years, eight months and 20 days.
She was married to Isaac Harvey, October 5, 1887, at Topeka, Kans. To this union 12 children were born, four preceding her in death.
The Harvey's established their first home in Eskridge, Kans., later moving to Harveyville. In February of 1900 they came to Oklahoma and filed a land claim 4 1/2 miles south and 3 miles east of Cherokee, which has been the Harvey home for the past 45 years.
Mrs. Harvey became a Christian early in life and joined the Friends church, which she served faithfully to the day of her death.
She is survived by her husband, Isaac Harvey, Cherokee; one sister, Mrs. Dora McIver, Cherokee; eight children, Mrs. Edna Lake, Fay, Okla.; Mrs. Maud Bridgewater, Remington, Ind., Mrs Bessie Carter, Cherokee; Mrs Elva Hare, San Bernadino, Calif,; Mrs. Esther Smith, Ponca City, Okla.; Vernie Harvey, Cherokee; Mrs. Ida Smith, Searcy, Ark.; and Mrs. Elma Dotterer, Cherokee; 34 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren. Besides these there are many other relatives and friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Herald Mickelson at the Friends church. A quartet composed of Willard Coppock, Ella Holliday, Maude Henderson and Homer Carpenter brought the special music. Accompanist was Mrs. Herald Mickelson. Interment was in M.W.A. cemetery with the Hodge Funeral Home in charge.

Isaac Newton Harvey
Isaac Newton Harvey, son of Caleb and Rebecca Harvey, was born at Harveyville, Kansas, July 7th, 1866, departed this life at the Masonic hospital, at Cherokee, Okla., November 20, 1950, at the age of 84 years, four months, and thirteen days.
He grew to young manhood at Harveyville and was united in marriage to Miss Lucinda Anderson, October 5, 1887.
He came, in the first year of this century, to Alfalfa county and bought a farm seven miles southeast of Cherokee, where he moved his family and where he lived until the passing of Mrs. Harvey in 1946. He has , since that time, made his home with his children.
He was highly regarded by his neighbors and all those who knew him best and had made many loyal friends by his upright living. He became a Christian while he was a young man and affiliated with the Friends church. His faith in God was strong to the end and he was bold to testify that he was trusting in God and was ready to go with Him. He was a devoted husband and father, praying to the last that his family might be reunited in heaven.
He was preceded in death by his wife; three sons, Raymond Isaac, Jesse Caleb and Charley, and one daughter, Laura Jane. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Bessie McMillen, of Wilmington, Ohio; seven daughter, Mrs. Edna Lake, Watonga, Okla; Mrs. Maude Bridgewater, Remington, Ind.; Mrs Elva Hare, San Bernadino, Calif.; Mrs. Esther Smith, Ponca City, Okla.; Mrs. Ida Smith, Irwin, Pa.; Mrs. Bessie Carter and Mrs. Elma Dotterer of Cherokee; one son , Vernon Harvey, of Cherokee; thirty-four grandchildren, and forty-eight great-grandchildren and many friends who will miss him and count his passing a great loss.
