Frances Lonnell Garrett age 73 of Edmond was born Oct. 18, 1934, in Buckholts, Texas, to Julius Otto and Lola Elizabeth Shannon.

Frances married Joel Garrett on Sept. 11, 1961, in Alva. She was an Edmond resident since 1970 and was a member of the Edmond Book Club and was also a lifelong Lion Club wife.

Frances was also an avid O. U. fan. She passed away on November 4, 2007, in Bixby, Oklahoma.

Her survivors include her husband Joel of the home; sons and daughters- in- law; Kent and Susan Garrett of Tulsa, David and Kristy Garrett of Bixby; sisters and brother- in- law Joyce and Garry Self of Durant, Doris Cummings of Durant, grandchildren Joel, Levi and Josh.

Frances is preceded in death by her parents and brother, James.

Services are 10: 00 a. m. Thursday Nov. 8 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel with interment at 3: 00 p. m. at the Cherokee Memorial Cemetery, Cherokee.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Services are under the direction of the Matthews Funeral Home, Edmond.
