Graveside services for Alma Beatty Doughty were held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 25, 2006 at Cherokee Municipal Cemetery in Cherokee, OK.

Alma Beatty was born to Fred and Iva Beatty in Cherokee, Oklahoma on February 10, 1908. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma and served as Librarian at NW Classen High School for 19 years before retiring in 1973. She was a member of DAR and the Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Martha Lou Beland, Jim Doughty, Rena Dawson, Nancy Markum, Charles Doughty and numerous great nieces and nephews and cousins.
