September 7, 1929 - September 13, 2009

The funeral for William “Billy” Skinner, 80, of Guthrie, will be 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 18, 2009, at Full Gospel Fellowship Church, Guthrie. The Rev. Arnold Jones will officiate. Burial will be 2 p.m. in Carmen Cemetery. Arrange-ments are by Hayes Funeral Home, Guthrie. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009, at the funeral home.

He was born Sept. 7, 1929, in Avard to Joseph and Rosa Ann Murphy Skinner and died Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009, at his home.

He owned and operated Bill’s Boot and Shoe Repair for 45 years.

Surviving are his wife, Ruth; one son, Darren Lynn Skinner of Enid; one sister, Beulah Davidson of Ring-wood; one brother, Donald Skinner of Ringwood; three grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, two brothers, one sister and one great-granddaughter.
