Funeral services for Jack Riggs, Sr., 84, will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, at the Wentworth Chapel in Carmen. Interment will be in the Carmen City Cemetery under the direction of Wentworth Mortuary, LLC.
Jack Dale Riggs, son of the late Robert and Hattie (Sherrell) Riggs, was born March 16, 1931, in Alfalfa County, and passed away Oct. 12, 2015, in Oklahoma City.
Jack grew up in Carmen and graduated from Carmen High School.
He joined the National Guard after graduating high school and served two tours in Korea with the 189th Field Artillery Battalion.
Jack was united in marriage to Joyce Arlene Delay.
He was a machinist and had his own shop in Carmen and worked several places in Enid. He was a member of the American Legion and Sr. AMBUCS.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce; brothers, Allen and Eugene Riggs; and sister, Geraldine Ash.
Jack is survived by his partner, Faye Bunch of Enid; his children, Douglas Franklin Riggs of Shreveport, La., Leland Raye Riggs of Green Valley, Ariz., Jack Dale Riggs Jr. of Avondale, Ariz., Audinetta Arlene Postula of Portland, Ore. Jonilynn Carol of Phoenix, Ariz., Delania Kaye Wilson of Enid and Audrey Riggs of Enid; 13 grandchildren, Douglas Riggs Jr., William Riggs, Lisa Page, Shon Page, Haley Gildersleeve, Arnold Merchant, Joyce Riggs, Jake Riggs, Chantz Wilson, Jacque Wilson, Rochelle Rush, Rykki-Dee Wallace and Danue Wilson; numerous great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
