Graveside services for Rennie Jones will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 4, 2021, at the Carmen City Cemetery with Rev. Kirk Board officiating. Interment is under the direction of Wentworth Mortuary, LLC of Carmen.
Rennie Ann (Ward) Jones, daughter of the late Raymond V. and Virginia Rose (Bright) Ward, was born January 14, 1943, at Hermosa Beach, California, and passed away August 30, 2021, at Enid, Oklahoma, at the age of 78 years, 7 months, and 16 days.
Rennie attended school and graduated from Carmen High School and went on to study at the Enid Business College. On August 3, 1963, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Jones at Carmen. They lived in Enid for several years before making their home in the Meno area where they raised their family.
She was a member of the Carmen Christian Church and worked for many years as a secretary for the ASCS office in Enid. She was very involved with her children and grandchildren and their many activities.
Besides her parents, Raymond and Virginia, she was preceded in death by an infant brother.
Rennie is survived by her husband, Kenneth, of Meno; two sons, Rodney Jones of Shiner, Texas, and Rance Jones and wife, Terri, of Duncan; one daughter, Kristin Sutton and husband, Larry, of Enid; two brothers, Gary Ward and wife, Sherilyn, of Clearwater, Kansas, and Terry Ward and wife, Shari, of Wichita, Kansas; five grandchildren, John, Kody, Tyler, Montana, Colton, and Brionna; fifteen great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, LaDonna Hays and husband, Jay, of North Enid; other relatives and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made through the mortuary to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for Alzheimer research.
