Carmen Cemetery


Carmen – The funeral for Jess M. Hagen, 86, will be 2 PM today at Wentworth's Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Deborah Kerr officiating. Burial will follow in Carmen City Cemetery under direction of Wentworth Mortuary.

He was born December 19, 1912, northeast of Carmen to George W. and Blanche V. Bain Hagen and died Friday, November 26, 1999, at the Carmen Home after a long illness.

He graduated from Sunnyside Grade School near Carmen. He and his brother farmed together for several years. He also worked on farms in Idaho and different jobs in Bakersfield, California, before returning to Carmen to retire. He was a member of Prairie Valley church.

He served in the Army during World War II, stationed in Northern France.

He is survived by two brothers, Ray of Balko and Max; and three nieces and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.

Memorials may be made to The Carmen Home through the funeral home.
