Ernest Lee (Ernie) Ging was born March 5, 1937 to Florence and Ervin Ging in Carmen, Oklahoma and passed away Thursday November 30, 2006 at his home in Bethany surrounded by his family.
Ernie graduated from Carmen High School in 1955. He proudly served in the United States Air Force.
On October 20, 1956, he married Mary Thomas. They celebrated their 50th anniversary this year. Ernie was well known for the beautiful rugs he created as owner of " Rugs By Ernie". He enjoyed fishing, yard sales and was an avid treasure hunter and collector.
Ernie was preceded in death by his father Ervin and an infant sister.
Ernie is survived by his mother, Florence Ging of Yukon, his wife Mary of the home, daughter Linda Shawn and Dan of Yukon, son Danny Ging and Kris of Oklahoma City and son Jerry Ging and Judy of Bethany and five grandchildren; Lindsay Brend of Yukon, Cody Brend of Monterey California, Cody Washom-Ging, Makaila Washom-Ging, and Rachel Ging all of Bethany.
The family wishes to thank Eric and Faith Hospice for the care they gave to Ernie during his illness. The family also extends a special thank you to the Thomas clan for being an endless source of love and comfort.
Graveside services will be at 2:00pm Monday December 4, 2006 at the Carmen Cemetery conducted by Wentworth Mortuary, Carmen Oklahoma.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in the name of Ernest L. Ging to Wentworth Mortuary, Carmen OK 73726
