Lois M. Petermann, long-time resident of Woodward, Oklahoma, passed from this life on April 8, 2016 at the age of 82. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 and 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. in Cherokee. A celebration of her life will follow the viewing at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 in Lanman Chapel with burial to follow in Byron-Amorita Cemetery.
Lois M. Petermann was born May 7, 1933 in Ripley, Oklahoma to parents, Henry Robert Ferril and Trula S. Bruner Ferril. She lived many years in Alva, Oklahoma, raised her family and graduated from college before moving to Woodward to start a career in social work. She touched many, many lives before retiring from the Department of Human Services in Woodward, and continued to touch many lives after her retirement.
Those preceding Lois in death are her parents; three brothers, Wilburn, Lloyd and Jean Ferril and one sister, Wanda Ferril.
Those left to cherish Lois’ memory are: one sister, Iris Bostick of Sugarland, Texas; one son, Herbert Allen Petermann of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two daughters, Cheryl Daniels of Bryan, Texas and Debbie Ketcham and husband, Morris of Sun Lakes, Arizona; grandchildren, Robyn and husband, Michael, Jason and wife, Chelsea, Matthew, Brittany, Carrie, Diane and husband, Troy, Jennifer and husband, Roger, Weslee and wife, Missy; many precious great grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Eddie and Sandy Ferril, Ben and Bev Bostick, Ken and Donna Bostick, Bill and Susan Wallace and Jim Wallace and an amazing extended family in Branson, Missouri and Woodward, Oklahoma.
