Byron & Amorita Cemetery


Byron – Amanda Orpha Kirkpatrick, 86, died Tuesday in a Wichita, Kansas, hospital.

She is survived by a son, Wallace E. Kirkpatrick of Byron; three daughters, Mrs. Aylene Lambdin, Wichita, Mrs. L. Jane Alexander, Milton, Kansas, Mrs. Elizabeth T. Newby, Stratton, Colorado; two brothers, Ralph Smith, Haysville, Kansas, Arthur Smith, Alva; three sisters, Mrs. Edith Holderby, Cherokee, Mrs. Eunice Lewis, Midland, Texas and Mrs. Ruth White, Everett, Washington; seven grandchildren and 15 great – grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son.

Funeral services for Mrs. Kirkpatrick will be at 2 PM Friday in Byron Christian Church with the Rev. W. T. McLemore officiating. Burial will be in the Byron – Amorita Cemetery, under the direction of the Goodwin Funeral Home of Cherokee.

A Memorial fund has been established to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Arthritis Fund. The funeral home will serve as custodian of the fund.
