The funeral for a Gilbert Fry Junior, 81, was at 2 PM Thursday at Goodwin Funeral Home Chapel. Menno Harms officiated. Burial was in Auburn Cemetery southwest of Cherokee. Fry died May 12, 1992 at Alfalfa County Hospital.

He was born October 12, 1910 in Chicago to Gilbert and Margaret Bender Fry. He came with his family to Oklahoma in 1913 and attended Cherokee schools. He farmed for many years west of Cherokee.

Surviving are four cousins, including Eunice Bender of Cherokee.

He was preceded in death by a sister.
