KATHRYN BEARD
Wichita, KS. - Funeral service for Kathryn "Katie" Staiger Beard, 94, Wichita, was held Monday at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, Wichita, with graveside services at Apostolic Christian Cemetery near Burlington, OK. She died March 3, 2005, at St. Francis Medical Center, Wichita, KS.
She was born Feb. 17, 1911, in Alfalfa County, OK. She married Wilbur B. Beard Jan. 27, 1942. He preceded her in death March 20, 1976. She worked at First National Bank in Wichita as a parking attendant from 1968 until she retired in 1990.
She is survived by two sons, Ronnie of Wichita, KS., and Steve of Andover, KS.; five grandchildren and one great-grandson. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Kay.
