ALICE BARBARA ALLENBACH
The funeral for Alice Barbara Allenbach, 99, formerly of Burlington, OK., will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Apostolic Christian Church, Burlington. Jeff Bahr and Jay Luthi will officiate. Burial will be in Apostolic Christian Cemetery, east of Burlington. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home Inc., Kiowa, Kan. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
She was born Jan. 26, 1907, in Burlington, OK. to Louie and Katie Schupbach and died Friday, May 12, 2006.
She moved with her family at age 4 northwest of Alva. OK. She attended Greenleaf country school and Alva High School. Following high school, she worked as a nanny, and also at a dress factory in Peoria, Ill.
She married Simon Allenbach Dec. 16, 1934. They made their home on a farm east of Burlington for 52 years. He died July 15, 1986. She continued living there until October 2000, when she moved to Kiowa Manor. She was a member of Home Demonstration Club for 50 years.
Surviving are one son, Ronald of Kiowa, KS.; a daughter, Jeanene K. Mantz of Georgetown, Texas; one brother, Wayne Schupbach of Wichita, Kan.; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Simon, she was preceded in death by three brothers.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Burlington Education Fund, Apostolic Christian Church, or Southwind Hospice.

BURLINGTON - Services for Simon S. Allenbach, 81, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Apostolic Christian Church in Kiowa, Kansas with Ronald Nelson and Raymond Toth officiating. Burial will be in the Apostolic Cemetery near Burlington. Fisher Funeral Home, Kiowa, is in charge of arrangements.
Allenbach was born June19, 1905, in Alfalfa County and died July 15 at his home near Burlington. He married Alice B. Schupbach Dec. 16, 1934, in Alva.
He was a farmer and stockman and a lifelong resident of the Burlington community.
Survivors include his wife Alice; a son Ronald, Kiowa; a daughter Jeanene Mantz, Georgetown, Texas; two sisters, Kay Olson, Kiowa, and Matilda Schupbach, Burlington; a half brother John Hoffman, Kiowa; and six grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Apostolic Christian Children's Home.
