April 20, 1916 - September 1, 1984
The funeral for R. A. "Runt" Mittelstet, 68, of Borger, Texas, will be at 10 AM Tuesday in the First United Methodist Church, Aline, with Rev. Dan Krumrei officiating. Interment will follow in Eastern Star Cemetery, under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
He died Saturday, September 1, 1984, following a period of ill health.
He was born April 20, 1916, at Fairview, and grew up in the Aline community. He moved to Borger in 1949 and had lived there since that time.
He formerly owned and operated a gas engine and machine company in Borger.
He married the former Mary Ellen Thomas, Aline, and she preceded him in death November 13, 1972.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three sons, John, Los Gatos, California; Steve, Dallas; and Mark, Borger; eight sisters, Elfreda Elliott, Enid; Clara Booze, Enid; Wilma Russell, Stroud; Martha Thomas, Aline; Emily Record, Enid; Doris Holle, Fairmont; Gracie Mittelstet, Lawton; and Margie Lou Green, Steilacoom, Washington; two brothers, Freddie, of Aline, and Johnie, of Enid; and seven grandchildren.
