Celebration of Life Service for Jana McAlister will be Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at 2:00 pm in Anderson-Burris Chapel with Dr Robert Courntney officiating. Burial will follow in Karoma Cemetery, Goltry.
Jana was born on December 28, 1955 in Enid to Harvey and Leon (Hagen) Krause and passed away on October 17, 2024 at her home.
She grew up in Enid and graduated from Enid High School. On May 28, 1982, she married David McAlister in Enid, where they made their home. In 1985, they moved to the family farm south of Nash. Jana enjoyed collecting rocks, photography, sewing and crocheting. She was an excellent cook and baker. Jana attended Chisholm Trail Cowboy Church for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Caleb Phipps; sister, Marla Vaverka.
Jana is survived by her husband, David; two children, Jessica and Darrell Phipps, and Josh and Jamie McAlister; three grandchildren, Rebecca, Timothy, and Zeke; one sister and husband, Debbie and Ken Kretchmier; other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made through Anderson-Burris to Karoma Cemetery.
