Orin David Kirkendall was born June 2, 1936, in Alfalfa County to Zoa Edith Martin Kirkendall and Lindley Hill Kirkendall, and passed from this life on November 15, 2019.
David had many jobs throughout his younger years, from carpentry work to welding, until he moved to Nebraska where he worked as a ranch hand for three years, making many friends, before returning home to work on the family farm. David was a hard worker.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Robert Kirkendall and Charles Kirkendall; and grandbaby, Deshea Pasqualito Kirkendall, deceased at birth.
David is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lydia Jane Kirkendall; his children, Belinda Jane and Joe Smith of Arnett, David Leroy and Lori Kirkendall of Fairview, Warren Lee Kirkendall and friend, Rita Anthony of Aline, Beth Woodall of Kingfisher; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; his sisters, Virginia Phillips of Aline, Mary and Clyde Spence of Williamsburg, Virginia, Carolyn and Mickey Dietz of Cleo Springs and Betty Garinger of Kismet, Kansas; a host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors throughout the area.
Funeral service for David will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at Cleo Springs First Christian Church. Burial will be in Aline Star Cemetery, with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc., of Helena. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 19, 2019 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. with family present 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. www.lanmanmemorials.com Facebook: Lanman Funeral Home Inc.
