Cleo Springs, OK — CLEO SPRINGS — Funeral service for Dwayne L. Hurst, 76, will be 1 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2014, at First United Methodist Church, Fairview, Okla. Burial will follow in Aline Star Cemetery. Family viewing will be 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, April 2. Friends and family are welcome. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc.
Dwayne was born Nov. 21, 1937, in Cleo Springs, Okla., to Harold and Drusilla (Loomis) Hurst and passed away with his loving family by his side on Saturday, March 29, 2014, after a short battle with cancer.
Dwayne graduated from Cleo Springs with the class of 1956.
He owned and operated Hurst Construction for 44 years.
On Nov. 23, 1956, Dwayne married Sandy (Saddler) and were blessed with two children.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sandy Hurst of the home; son, Terry and wife Cindy Hurst of Cleo Springs and daughter, Tammy Hubble and husband Wayne of Fairview; five grandchildren, Travis and Amy Hurst, Chad and Allison Hurst, Mindy and Michael Quint, Brittany and Brian Goodin and Danielle Hubble; five great-grandchildren, Tanner and Logan Hurst, Ashlynn Quint, Brendon Hurst and Kadence Goodin; two brothers, Jim and Retha Hurst of Enid and Bill and Shirley Hurst of Cherokee; mother-in-law, Lola Morris of Fairview.
Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ivan.
Memorials may be made to OMRF or Faith Hospice, with Fairview Funeral Home acting as custodian.
