A Celebration of Life Service for Loretta I. Gharib age 86 of Enid will be 10:00 am Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel. Burial will follow in the Aline Star Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
She was born September 27, 1933 in Cleo Springs, OK to J. R. and Elsie "Pat" (Dillard) Coates and passed away Saturday, February 22, 2020 at her home. She attended and graduated Cleo Springs High School. She worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell-ATT retiring after 30 years. She married Iraj Gharib in 1965 in Fairview, OK. Loretta worked as a PBX operator for Bass Hospital. She volunteered at St. Mary's Hospital, Salvation Army, Loaves and Fishes and was a care giver. Loretta enjoyed attending the Chisholm Trail Cowboy Church and going to hear Backstage Pass Band and was an Honorary Groupie. Loretta cherished the time she spent with all of her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her sister Leota Fern Randleman of Enid, nephew Tracy Foster and wife Jamie of Enid, niece, Misty Nunley of Enid and several other nieces and nephews.
Loretta was preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Pat Foster, father J. R. Coates, sisters; Oletta Gabriel and Patty Wilcox, and brother J. C. Foster.
