Celebration of life service for Doug is 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, at Helena United Methodist Church with Pastor Len Coulter officiating. Burial follows at Aline-Star Cemetery, with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home Inc., Helena. Viewing is 10 a.m.-4 p.m. today, Jan. 20, 2017, at the funeral home in Helena; www.LanmanMemorials.com.

Doug was born to Otto and Margaret Ryel Frech Sept. 13, 1944, in Alva and passed from this life Jan. 17, 2017, in Enid. Doug grew up in Helena and graduated from Helena High School. He worked for Dutch Oil Company and on the family farm. He was very active in the Helena Lions Club. Doug enjoyed sitting in his swing outside, waving as people drove by.

Survivors include his two brothers, Ken Frech and wife, Evelyn of Enid, and Ron Frech and wife, Mary of New Braunfels, Texas; sister-in-law, Jan Givens, Helena and numerous nieces; nephews and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Dennis Frech.

Memorials may be given to Helena Ambulance and Police Department, through Lanman Funeral Home Inc., P.O. Box 126, Helena, OK 73741.
