Funeral service for Max is 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at Aline High School gymnasium with Polly Young officiating. Burial follows at Aline Star Cemetery, with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home Inc. of Helena. Viewing is 10 a.m.-7 p.m. today, March 7, 2017, with the family present 5-7 p.m. Condolences may be made at www.LanmanMemorials.com.
Max LeRoy Anthony, 62, passed away suddenly Saturday evening, March 4, 2017, after emergency surgery. Max was born Jan. 27, 1955, in Alva to Buddy Anthony and Cordelia Frey Anthony. He was a lifelong resident of Aline. He was an amazing man, father, papa, mechanic, farmer, do anything for anybody guy. He was the fire chief in Aline for over twenty years, was known by his big wave, when met along the highway, was the local car whisperer, jack and master of all trades, and most of all he was always making people laugh!
He is survived by his parents, Buddy and Cordelia Anthony; his wife, Rita Anthony; his daughters, Haley Anthony and Hilary Nicholson and husband, Matt; grandson, Jayden Howerton; granddaughter, Aleigh Nicholson; his brothers, Cary Anthony and wife, Nancy, Rocky Anthony and wife, Vicki and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
