Tom Woods, 87-year-old retired stock dealer of Westville, died Friday, August 26, in the Pleasant Valley Nursing Home in Muskogee. Woods, born May 29, 1896, in Westville, Indian Territory, was a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include: two sons, [stepsons] Tom Elbert Johnson, Pineville, Missouri, and William Trent Johnson, Gravette, Arkansas; three sisters, Nellie Tennant, Minnie Russell, and Elsie Reed, all of Westville; and two brothers, Forrest Woods, Stilwell, and Oliver Woods, Westville.
Services were held Sunday in the Hart Funeral Chapel in Westville, with the Rev. Gene Hancock, pastor fo the First United Methodist Church of Westville, officiating. Interment was in the Westville City Cemetery.
