Mrs. Bessie Woods, 61, died in her home here Friday, June 8. A member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church, she had lived in the Westville area most of her life.
Funeral services were held Sunday in Hart Memorial Chapel with the Revs. Annie Langley and Argyle Hughes, officiating. Burial was in Westville Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Morris, Floyd Morris, J. C. Morris, Ernest Buffington, Blake Woods, and Homer Guthrie.
Mrs. Woods is survived by her husband, Oliver, of the home; a son, Burlan Woods, Superintendent of Westville schools; a daughter, Wilma Phillips, Waynesville, Missouri; five sisters, Dosie Hampson and Mae Blackketter, both of Mountain View, California, Dussie Blodgett and Ida Meeds, both of Azusa, California, and Nellie Butts of Fresno, California; five brothers, L. D. Guthrie and Earl Guthrie, both of Fresno, California, Woodrow Guthrie of Anderson, California, Owen Guthrie of Glendora, California, George Guthrie, of Seattle, Washington; and five grandchildren.
