Melba Joyce (Hunt) Kirby was born on August 2, 1933 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Lee Dolph and Eula Mae (Whittle) Ennis and departed this life on Sunday, October 30, 2011 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas at the age of 78 years, 2 months and 28 days.
She was a beautiful lady in many ways. Melba had a warm smile and a friendly face that welcomed you when you met her. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed every moment spent with them. Her door was always open for all to visit. Melba will be remembered for her warmth and graciousness.
Preceding her in death were her parents: Dolph and Eula Mae Ennis, first husband: Bill Hunt, second husband: John Kirby, sister: Sharon Kay Ennis and brother: Jim Ennis.
Melba is survived by a loving family that includes her children: Sue McGuire and husband Jerry of Hardy, VA, Samuel Hunt and wife Vicky of Siloam Springs, AR, Judy Garcia and husband Lorenzo of Siloam Springs, Leta Enos and husband Charlie of Newcastle, OK, Danny Hunt and wife Carol of Delran, NJ, step children: Bill Kirby and wife Betsy of Stilwell, OK, Roy Kirby and wife Gina of Kiefer, OK, Johnnie Kirby and wife Margie of Wasilla, AK, 22 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, brother: Jerry Lee Ennis and wife Judy of Edmond, OK, sisters: Kathy McGaha and husband Jim of McCloud, OK, Nancy Belvin and husband Vernon of Midwest City, OK, Linda Ennis of Oklahoma City, OK. She is also survived by other relatives and a multitude of friends.
Funeral services at 10:00 am on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at the First Baptist Church, Westville with Pastor James Duffell officiating. Interment followed at Westville City Cemetery.
