Jo Ann Jones was born March 23, 1934, in Westville, Oklahoma to Lula (Hardage) Monroe. She departed this life August 14, 2009, at OSU Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma at 75 years of age.
On October 4, 1952, Jo Ann married Paul Isaac Jones in Huntsville, Arkansas. She worked as a stock computer technician for Wal-Mart and retired after 17 years of service. Jo Ann was a member of Mountain View Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed her flower garden, quilting and reading.
Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Paul Jones, who died November 14, 2000. Her surviving family includes children, Annita and Larry Calvert, of Glenpool, Paula and Jim Hardesty, of Tulsa, Sandy Hollenback, of Siloam Springs, AR, Paul Jr. and Carolyn Jones, of Gentry, AR, 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one brother and sister-in-law, James and Linda Monroe, of Grove.
Services were held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at Hart Memorial Chapel with Brothers Larry Kindle, Danny Phillips and Mike Whorton officiating. Interment followed at Westville City Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Westville.
