Westville loses another of her pioneer citizens in the death of W.T. HIX, which occured at the Bushyhead Hotel Saturday, April 18, after a brief illness.
A retired farmer, Mr. HIX moved with his family to Westville 21 years ago.
Funeral services were held at the Roberts Funeral Chapel Tuesday morning. Burial in the city cemetery beside his wife who preceeded him in death in 1930.
He is survived by four daughters and five sons, all but one being present.
Also surviving is one brother besides a host of other relatives and friends.
The following children attended the funeral of their father: Mr. and Mrs. B.A. FULLER, of Demit, Texas, Mr. and Mrs. J.H. PICKARD, New Orleans, La., Mrs. C.V. JONES and Grady HIX, Fort Worth, Texas, Doyle HIX, New Iberia, La., Herbert HIX and Randell HIX, Westwood, Calif., and Miss Pauline HIX, Dallas, Texas. Mr. Tom ANDERSON of Dallas and a brother, Joe HIX, of Chickasha, Okla., were also present.
