She married Grady Hill on June 10, 1953 and to this union was born Bruce, Sheryl, Donna, Michael, Dan and Susan. Norma was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. Along with Grady, she owned and operated Hills Superette for 12 years. During her younger years, she was an active member of the VFW and Eastern Star. In 1989, she joined the John F. Henderson Library Board and in 1992 she became chairperson of the board. Norma remained in that position until her retirement in 2011. She was a well known and liked member of our community and will be deeply missed.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents: Clark and Mary Gordon, husband: Grady Hill, son: Mike Hill, brother: Melvin Gordon, sisters: Ruby Butler, Wanda George and Juanita Marr.
Her memory will be kept and cherished by her children: Bruce Hill and wife Robin of Westville, OK, Sheryl Hill of Kansas, OK, Donna Duckering and husband John of Odessa, TX, Daniel Hill and wife Faye of Westville, Susan Sanders and husband Mike of Westville, grandchildren: James Hill and wife Stacy of Westville, Becky Cain and husband Steve of Proctor, OK, Scott Williams and wife Savannah of Mt. Vernon, MO, Matt Williams and wife Jennifer of Mt. Vernon, Jalen Hill of Fayetteville, AR, Ashley Smith and husband Derrick of Springdale, AR, Lauren Hill of Fayetteville, Austin Hill and wife Tyra of Stilwell, OK, Brianna Wilson of Westville, Taylor Wilson of Westville, Ashley Sanders of Bella Vista, AR, Brent Sanders of Westville, Tyler Sanders of Westville, 12 great grandchildren, a very special cousin: Mig Hamilton and a multitude of other loved ones and friends.
Funeral services were held at 10 am on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Roberts Hart Chapel with Bro. Jim Beavers officiating.
Interment followed at Westville City Cemetery.
