W.L. HILLARD was born May 19, 1882 near Kingston, Ark., and departed this life February 27, 1947 at the age of 64 years, 9 months and 8 days in the City Hospital in Fayetteville, Ark., of heart ailment from which he has suffered for some time.
He was married to Edith WRIGHT of Kingston, on January 6, 1907. To this union was born one daughter, Bessie Henderson of Detroit, Michigan.
Mr. HILLARD grew to manhood and was educated in Madison County, Ark. He was actively interested in lumber, stave and timber business in N.W. Ark., for many years.

He moved to Okla., in 1935 and located at Westville early in 1936 where he was in active business until February 1, 1946.

Mr. HILLARD believed in helping those in need and often headed the list of donations for the needy.
He is survived by his wife, Edith HILLARD, his daughter, Mrs. Bessie HENDERSON, of Detroit, Michigan; two sisters, Mrs. Arley SPARKS of Huntsville, Ark., Mrs. Addie LABORNE of Fayetteville, Ark.; five nieces, one nephew and a host of freinds to mourn his passing.
Funeral services were conducted in the Roberts Funeral Home Chapel Sunday afternoon, by Rev. James SMITH and burial was in the Westville Cemetery.
