Funeral service for Mrs. Jane DAVIS, wife of the late Ben DAVIS, and a resident of Westville for 15 years, who died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Alfred A. HART of near Stilwell, Sunday afternoon, was conducted from the Roberts Funeral Chapel Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock, with the Rev. L.E. SHANKEL, Methodist minister, officiating. Burial was in the Westville Cemetery.
Pall bearers included: W. C. BOST, Harold PRITCHETT, R. M. FINKE, Dewey ELKINS, John MCCUISTION and E. A. LANCASTER.
A choir composed of Mrs. Ed FUSSELMAN, Mrs. M. R. TITTLE, Sr., Mrs. Ann PARKER, Frank ALLEN and E. A. LANCASTER, sang three requested hymns, with Billy Paul HAYS at the piano. She was a member of the Methodist church.
Mrs. DAVIS was born November 3, 1863.
She was the mother of seven children, all living but one. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. HART, of Stilwell; Miss Mittie DAVIS of the home; four sons, Ernest of Sedan, Kansas, Ralph of Lincoln, Ark., William of Klammath Falls, Ore., and Clint of Summers, Ark.; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
