Marvin Dawson Cagle, son of Charley Austin Cagle and Bessie Little Cagle, was born November 5, 1911 in the Scraper Hollow Community and departed this life to be with his Savior, November 19 at the age of 89 years and 14 days.

Marvin married Lou Ella Withers October 17, 1938, and to this union were born three children; Tony, Larry and Debby. Marvin was a retired merchant in the grocery business in Westville. He was a member of the First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for 48 years. He was a loving husband, father, "grand-daddy" and "great-grand-daddy."

He was preceded in death by both parents, Charley and Bessie Cagle, one brother, Joseph Leo Cagle and one sister, Lois Clark.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Lou Ella of the home in Westville, two sons, Tony Cagle and wife Sandy of Tulsa, Larry Cagle and wife Rita of Owasso, one daughter, Debby Roberts of Westville, one brother, Don Cagle of Westville, two sisters; Betty Morris of Westville, and Ina Greiner of Tulsa, eight grandchildren; Julie Schraad and husband Joe of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Shelley Catron and husband Dirk of Pryor, Chris Cagle and wife Micki of Tulsa, LeAnn Ashwell and husband Dru of Joplin, Missouri, Stacci Roberts of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Dana Robison and husband Sean of Pryor, Jason Cagle of Owasso and Courtney Cagle of Tulsa, fourteen great graandchildren; Kirbi, Heather, Sara and Morgan Catron and Makenna Robison all of Pryor, Ben, Lindsay and Daniel Schraad of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Jessica, Annie and Molly Ashwell of Joplin, Missouri, Audrey Roberts of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Rhett Cagle of Tulsa.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 22 at 10 a.m. in the Roberts Funeral Chapel in Westville with Doug Davis and Bro. Mike Hayes officiating. Interment followed at the Westville City Cemetery under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home of Westville.
