Flora Faye Brooks

Graveside services for Flora Brooks, age 89, were held Thursday, December 28, 2006 at Westville City Cemetery with Bro. Darrell Self officiating.

Burial was under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
Flora Faye (Johnson) Brooks passed away December 25, 2006 at Tahlequah City Hospital at the age of 89.

She was born in Lewis, Kansas on April 30, 1917 to George Johnson and Abbie (McClaren) Johnson.

She had two sisters, Velma and Erma and a brother, Mulrl.

Flora's parents and siblings all preceded her in death.
During Flora's high school years, the three sisters enjoyed singing together. They sang regularly on a Dodge City, Kansas radio station.

After high school graduation, Flora worked as a beautician. During World War II, Flora worked in an aircraft factory in Wichita Kansas.
Flora married Charles Brooks on January 24, 1944. Charles passed away in 1985 leaving Flora a widow for the last 21 years of her life.
Over the years, Flora has been a good neighbor and a friend to many. She will be missed.
