Nicholas Jay Mann was born June 18, 1993, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, to Jack and Dana (Thompson) Mann. He departed this life February 28, 2013, at his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 19 years, 8 months and 10 days.
Nicholas attended Memorial High School and later earned his high school diploma through the Youth Build Program at Tulsa Technology Center. Later he worked in construction and sales.
Nick loved music, hanging out with friends, playing video games with his little sister, and getting into mischief with his brother. Nick loved his family with all his heart, and loved his friends like family.
Nick had a way of viewing the craziness of the world with humor and a dry wit. He was perceptive, inquisitive, sensitive, caring and loyal. He hid a lot of his hurt from those he loved because he didn’t want us to hurt.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Orval “Shorty” Mann and Margaret Nellie Mann.
Nicholas leaves behind to cherish his memory a loving family which includes, his parents, Jack and Dana Mann, of Tulsa, OK; brother, Jared Mann, of the home; sister, Vivien Mann, of the home; grandparents, Roy and Susie Thompson, of Stilwell; uncles, Phillip Thompson and wife, Amy, of Stilwell, Gordon Sparks and wife, Lenora, of Wyndotte, OK; Dalton Mann and wife, Rose, of Stilwell; aunts, Emily Thompson, of Stilwell; Linda Mann, of Tulsa, Sandra Murdoch and husband, Dave, of Broken Arrow, Marilyn Harris, of Catoosa, Cindy Mathews and husband, Darryl, of Bunch. Many friends, cousins and other relatives also survive him.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. Richard Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Tyler Springs Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
