Mary Lou Hummingbird, daughter of Sam and Mary Edith (Wofford) Hawk was born July 7, 1944 in Tahlequah, Ok and departed this life on July 25, 2019 in Marble, North Carolina at the age of 75 years and 17 days.
Mary was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family. She worked as a CHN for many years to help provide for her family. She also enjoyed working at the casino in Cherokee, North Carolina for 8 years. Mary enjoyed football especially the Baltimore Ravens, sewing, wrestling and had a great love for her fur babies. She enjoyed time spent with family especially her grandkids. She attended Central Baptist Church when her health permitted.She is survived by a very loving family that includes her husband; James Hummingbird of the home, children; Johnny Livers and wife Lisa of Stilwell, OK, Jackie Livers of Muskogee, OK., Glenna Stockton and husband William of Marble, NC., 9 grandchildren and 4 great- grandchildren. Siblings; Jimmy Hawk, Carl Hawk, Virginia Hawk, Rebecca Morton, Louise Byrd, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her.
Graveside services were held, Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the New Tyler Springs Cemetery with Pastor Larry Swafford officiating.Interment followed under the direction of
Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home
