Funeral services for Gordon BOOKOUT were held Wednesday, September 15, 1999, at the Hart Memorial Chapel with Dr. Phillip BOLDERJACK officiating. Interment followed at the Tyler Springs Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
Gordon BOOKOUT was born June 19, 1932, in Centerville, Arkansas, to Samuel Lee and Evelyn Melinda INGRAM BOOKOUT. He departed this life September 11, 1999, in Baytown, Texas, at the age of 67 years, 2 months and 22 days.
He was a truck driver for 32 years and was of the Nazarene faith. He was married to Lois BUXTON in 1952 and to this union were born eight children. He was married to Loretta DORE on December 2, 1994 in Baytown, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Garland and Robert, and one sister, Gretchen.
Gordon is survived by his wife, Loretta; two sons, Jerry, of Oklahoma and Ricky, of Kansas; six daughters, Patricia, Phyllis, Terri, Tabatha, Toni and Kim, all of Oklahoma; 24 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; two brothers, Paul and Bill; and two sisters, Jeanetta and Juanita.
