Susan Charmaine Young the daughter of Richard and Julia (Rider) Young was born October 15, 1947, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on March 26, 2020, in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the age of 72 years, 5 months and 11 days.
Susan loved her family and enjoyed the life that the Lord blessed her with. She was a big part of her community and worked as a Beautician for over 47 years. She was an amazing all around woman, she was a great cook, spectacular seamstress and the best mother and grandmother that anyone could ask for. Her family was her life, and she adored her children and grandchildren. Susan’s life touched many hearts over the years, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings Annie Faye, Joe Young, Virginia Dodson and Barbara Young.
She is survived by a loving family which includes her children Julia Lynn Carlton and husband Mark of Dallas, Frankie Hargis of Stilwell, Steve Hargis and wife Shamekah of Westville, Michael Hargis and wife Cary of Stilwell and Kristy Laine Young of Stilwell; her true friend Johnny Marlin of Stilwell; her grandchildren Travis Thomas, Tyler Thomas, Courtney Hargis, Adam Carlton, Zach Carlton, Colter Keehler, Rider Keehler and Reagan Hargis; and her great grandchildren Brycee Thomas, Braxton Thomas, Evan Thomas, Chandler Thomas and Ella Hill. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.
Graveside services were held 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 24, 2020 at Stilwell City Cemetery with Bro. Larry Shankle officiating. Final arrangements were entrusted to Hart Funeral Home.
