Robert Ernest Youngman
February 27, 1921-April 11, 2008
Robert Ernest Youngman son of Robert R. and Ollie Mae (Phillips) Youngman was born February 27, 1921 in Spring Valley, Arkansas and departed this life to be with his Lord and Savior on April 11, 2008 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years, 1 month and 14 days.
Ernie worked as a farmer and rancher with his Father before being called into the service in 1942. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1942-1945 as an MP in Arizona. He was unable to complete his High School education because of being called into service, but in 2001 he was presented an Honorary High School Diploma from Stilwell High School.
He married his sweetheart Laura May Owens on March 17, 1944 in Vian, Oklahoma and into this union were born 6 children; Robert E. Jr., Ronnie, Carolyn, Donna, Larry and his baby Glenda.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of over 50 years Laura May Youngman, 1 daughter; Donna Gayle Carson, 1 daughter in-law; Marvene Lee Youngman, 3 grandsons; Jerry Gard, Gene Gard and an infant baby boy, 3 sisters; Nadene Youngman, Ozella Owens and Virginia Haight.
He is survived by a very loving family that includes 3 sons; Robert E. Youngman Jr., and wife Sharon of Stilwell, OK., Ronnie Youngman of Yucca Valley, CA., and Larry Youngman and wife Pat of Indio, CA., 2 daughters; Carolyn Kester and husband Roger and Glenda Grant and husband Don all of Stilwell, OK., 3 brothers; Russell Youngman and wife Jane of Shreveport, LA., Donald Youngman and wife Merna of Hemmet, CA., and Kyle Youngman Sr., and wife Barbara of Desert Hot Spring, CA., 2 sisters; Lydia Jackson of Brawley, CA., and Velma Demoray of Yucca Valley, CA., 22 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive him.
Funeral services will be held Thurdsay, April 17, 2008 in the Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel with Rev. Kyle Youngman Sr., officiating.

Interment will follow in the Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Robert/Reedd-Culver Funeral Home.
