Gerald Dee Wyche, son of Elmer Dee and Margaret Arizona (Smith) Wyche, was born on July 31, 1932 in Fittstown, Oklahoma and departed this life on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 on Wyche Mountain in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 77 years, 10 months and 15 days.
Gerald married Violet Samples in Arlington, Virginia on May 23, 1953. The Lord blessed them with 57 years of marriage.
Gerald served his country proudly as a member of the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.
He was a rancher and a rodeo stock producer. Gerald was a valued member of the Bell Community and served on the Bell School Board for many years. He enjoyed riding horses and the PBR. Gerald was a faithful member of Copic Missionary Baptist Church. He loved his family and always found time to spend with them.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Mona Arlene Drennan and Conda LaRuth Matthews.
Surviving Gerald are his wife: Violet “Cis” Wyche of the home in Stilwell, OK, stepdaughter: Brenda Joyce Wartenburg of Stilwell, OK, grandson: Gerald Edward Wyche and wife Crystal of Texola, OK, brothers: Larry Glenn Wyche and wife Lou Jean of Stilwell, OK, Dale Smith Wyche and wife Chalon of Ward, AR, sisters: Laura Lou McElroy of Ada, OK, Emma Sue Jordan and husband Onus of Fittstown, OK, Helen Juanita Sherrill of Ada, OK, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends and an extra special friend: Indian Boy.
