Loretta Joyce Turner, daughter of Johnny Jack and Ollie Mae (Bowers) Radford, was born on January 27, 1931 in Red Star, Arkansas and departed this life on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at 86 years of age.
She married her love, Vonnie Turner, on May 2, 1949 and they were blessed with a loving family and long, happy marriage. Loretta worked hard as an event planner and a grocery store clerk to help Vonnie support their family. She had a wonderful smile and sense of adventure. Loretta will be deeply missed.
Loretta was preceded in death by her parents: Johnny and Ollie Radford, son: Daniel Turner, brothers: Ernest and Jewel Radford, sisters: Sybil Eubanks and Ruby Sanders.
A loving family survives her and includes her husband: Vonnie Turner of Roland, OK, children: Linda Jordan and husband Edward of Broken Arrow, OK, Elaine Turner of Roland, OK, Kitty Turner of Sallisaw, OK, grandchildren: Angela Bishop, Misty Townsend and husband John, Jessie Mosteller, Micah Turner, Sheila (Cookie) Dawn Turner, great grandchildren: Christopher Pritchard, Dallas Richardson, Devon Richardson, Amber Townsend, Joseph Townsend, great-great grandchildren: Conner Mosteller, Cullen Mosteller, Qunnie Mosteller, Rylie Richardson, Damey Risch, Carol Jewel Risch and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 1 pm on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel, Stilwell, OK with Bro. Jerry Copeland officiating.
Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery, Stilwell, OK.
