Kevin Ray Stevens
Kevin Ray Stevens was born Oct. 4, 1961, in Stilwell, and departed this life to be with our Lord on May 9, 2012, in Stilwell, at the age of 50 years, six months and eight days the son of Jim and Modena (Edgmon) Stevens.
Kevin loved working for the Oklahoma Scenic Rivers Commission, where he was employed for 30 years.
He married Gina Shepherd in August of 1992 and to this union one son, Hunter, was born.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching Hunter with anything he was in -volved in, and spending time with family.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ell and Ollie Edgmon, and Charlie and Beulah Stevens; father-in-law J.B. Shepherd, as well as several aunts and uncles.
Kevin is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife, Gina Stevens and son, Hunter Stevens, both of the home; parents, Jim and Modena Stevens of Stilwell; sister, Diane Eubanks and husband Roger, of Stilwell; niece, Jessica Means and husband Hugh, and nephew, Josh Eubanks, all of Stilwell; great-nephews, Landon Eubanks and Kipton Means; mother-in-law, Phyllis Smith and husband Fred of Keys; brothers-in-law, Mike Shepherd and wife Nelda of Fargo, and Jay Shepherd and wife Debbie of Fort Gibson; as well as several other relatives and many, many friends.
Services were Friday, May 11, at 2 p.m., at the First Baptist Church of Stilwell, with Pastor Darryl Lacie and Brother Carney Duncan officiating. Interment followed in the Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Roberts Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
